Al-Musawi A, Al-Sane M, Andersson L. Smartphone App as an aid in the emergency management of avulsed teeth. Dent Traumatol 2017;33:13-18.
Conclusion: The Dental Trauma App alone is an effective means of providing accessible knowledge to guide laypeople in managing tooth avulsion, and it can be superior to a lecture-based delivery of information.
The second study has recently been published which compare a poster and a Dental Trauma app. Results: Both a poster and a mobile healthcare application are effective in delivering dental trauma information to parents. The majority of respondents preferred the mobil application (66%). A mobile healthcare information delivery system can be a useful tool for the emergency responder to obtain information regarding techniques for handling dental trauma that are evidence based.
